Geko24 Tire Foams. Unlike 1/10 rigs, using tire foams is not strictly necessary on a micro rig. Due to the lighter weight, foams are a matter of driver preference. The advantage of using foams is that they support the tire sidewall, greatly helping in a side-hilling situation. The disadvantage is they allow for less tire deformation, and therefore a smaller contact patch.

Ever softer rubber compounds have led to AutoRC introducing foams as an option for the Geko24. Particularly for weightier rigs they can now be an essential item for good off-road performance. We recommend experimenting with your setup to find the optimal balance for your rig, preferred terrain and driving style. Whether or not you choose to use them, having a set of foams in the parts bin is always a good idea!

The Geko24 tire foams can be used with either 18mm or 21mm diameter wheels. They will completely fill the smaller 33mm tires but will leave a small air gap with the larger 36mm and 39mm tires. They actually work better with the larger tires in our opinion, offering sidewall support whilst also retaining good deformation to follow the terrain.

NOTE: These foams are not compatible for use with Geko24 brass wheel weight rings.
